In 2017, Step by Step Interventions began to service clients in the North West Sydney area - offering them early intervention and allied health services to support families through their child's development.
Step by Step advocates for clients and engages with teachers, educators and other health professionals involved in your child's life. To make this as inclusive as possible, Step by Step offers onsite consultations and builds relationships with the wider community who support our clients.
Step by Step Interventions provides evidence-based intervention, assessments and recommendations so that you are equipped with the tools you need in order to tackle day-to-day life and provide a supportive environment for growth.

Peta Williams is the founder of Step by Step Interventions. She is a Child and Behavioural Psychologist who has been working with children and adolescents with complex disabilities for numerous years across a variety of settings, including: Schools across all sectors (Public, Catholic and Independent); Private Practice; and Non Profit Organisations. This has provided her with a wealth of experience and knowledge that enables her to identify, plan and support her clients in an environment that promotes growth in a creative, stimulating and enjoyable manner.

Peta Williams
Peta began her career as an ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) Therapist in schools, home and the community. From there, she joined a non-for-profit organisation who specialised in the assessment and intervention of behavioural concerns and difficulties. Here, Peta developed skills in diagnostic assessments for disabilities, educational needs and emotional difficulties. Peta led a team of multi-disciplinary staff, including Speech and Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Teachers and Psychologists in providing best-practice support for children and their families.
Peta has completed her Masters of Psychology (Clinical), is a Registered Psychologist and a member of The Australian Psychological Society (APS).

Cindy Mihardja
Senior Consultant
Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)
Cindy Mihardja is a Senior Behaviour Consultant at Step by Step Interventions. She is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), with a Masters in Applied Behaviour Analysis. Cindy specialises in delivering intervention using the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) across a variety of settings such as in the home, school and community environments, and a range of intensities, from consultative to high-intensity models (i.e., 10-20 hours a week). Cindy has been in the field of disability for over five years and has used her knowledge to support many families with a range of presentations, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disability, Down Syndrome and Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Cindy first started her career in the field of ABA as a Junior Therapist implementing intensive programs at home and working as a school shadow to support inclusion within the classroom. From there, Cindy gained experience through a number of clinical and managerial roles, including Senior Behaviour Consultant and Team Leader. Cindy has supervised and lead teams of allied health and behaviour clinicians within transdisciplinary and multidisciplinary models. She also participates as a committee member on Restrictive Practice panels.
